Reed & Barton Silver Plate Water Pitcher | American Silverplate | Taunton Massachusetts
A handsome water pitcher by Reed & Barton, one of America’s most storied silversmiths. The generous balloon body tapers to a footed base, with a gracefully scrolled handle and a wide, tilted pouring lip that makes it as functional as it is beautiful. The surface is polished to a high mirror finish with the warm depth that only silverplate develops over time.
Pattern No. 5680. At 8 half-pints capacity, it pours for a full table without a second trip. Equally at home filled with water and garden flowers as it is on a bar cart with a good Bordeaux.
Reed & Barton was founded in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1824 and became synonymous with fine American silver and silverplate for nearly two centuries.
Reed & Barton, USA. Pattern #5680, 8 H.P. Silverplate over base metal. Mirror polish with age-appropriate patina.
